SL technicals weapons of choice Vs. Puntland’s

SL technicals:

I have noticed Somaliland uses ZPU variants for its Technicals. It is almost standard issue across its battle wagons.

They use this:

=ZPU-1 aka Siikaawe in Somali.

Mounted on Toyota pick ups. It can be used both for infantry as well as anti aircraft.

It can be combined into 4 barrels which it then becomes What is known as Shilka

Different variants are quadruple- (ZPU-4) (Shilka) Double- (ZPU-2) and single-barreled (ZPU-1 aka Siikaawe)

It fires 14.5×114mm caliber bullet.

Puntland:

On the opposite end, Puntland opts to go with DSHK heavy machine gun to mount on its fighting technicals.

As you can see it is very heavy machine gun. It fires 12.7x108mm

It is slightly smaller than the 114.5x114mm that SL army uses, nevertheless it packs a powerful punch.
