I see where you’re coming from but it’s not like Iraq. There are no American troops on the ground.@bidenkulaha Everyone and their mum knows why ameriKKKa is so interested in this region and its resources and this fighting al shabaab is a cover for it.
Industry sources say the deposits may exceed a quarter of the world's known reserves of 800,000 tons. Moreover, they said, the uranium lies close to the surface and can permit strip-mining techniques which is far less costly than deep-mining.
Somalia could be for uranium what Iraq is to oil.
In addition to uranium, international geologists have also discovered Yttrium, a rare and costly mineral which experts say can sell for six times as much as uranium per pound.
The Gal-Mudug Regions of Central Somalia is endowed with another mineral deposit, uranium deposits. Following numerous mineral explorations, the area between between Dhusa-mareeb, El-bur, Wasil and Galkayo was found to contain extensive deposits of Uranium in the Taleh Formation that covers Galgaduud and South Mudug Regions. In the Miocene and the Pliocene (the Tertiary), the Taleh Formation had undergone extensive weathering in which secondary mineralization occurred. In this way Uranium minerals were formed in shallow deposits of calcretes and silcrete.
The uranium and the other mineral deposits in Galmudug are massive and on top of that we got some massive amounts of offshore oil deposits tucked away. We’re going to be eating good in the near future, God willing.
Actually it wasn’t an airstrike that killed them but a vehicle carrying barrels filled with bomb making materials (mostly chemicals) and weapons that was blown up.Seem they died from airstrike US/turkey airstrike are something else
