He may be Arab Somali. A lot of people forget that during the colonial period many Yemenis settled in Somalia for business, trade or soldiers for the itallians. Many of them stayed and mixed with the local Somalis. Others left after the civil war.

Some of these Arab Somalis are 100% Yemeni an have no somali blood. They aren't like Reer Banaadiri who have lived in Somalia for centuries and mixed heavily with ethnic Somalis. I've met a few.

I even met a full Pakistani who shocked me when he spoke Somali. Then he told me he was born in Somalia and his parents settled in Somalia as merchants in the early to mid 1900s.

So I assume Abu Taymiyah is a Arab Somali since I've seen him speak Somali and he is pretty fluent. But DNA wise he is most likely 100% Yemeni.

Him saying i'm Arab is too confusing lol he should have proudly said Yemeni baan ahay maxa ka celinaayo i wonder🤔

He definitely has a good amount of Black African ancestry. I can see the Indian as well.

If he was from Saudi Arabia, Oman or Yemen e.g then he would’ve proudly stated that. I suspect he’s from the mixed communities of Mogadishu.

Arab Somalis and Pakistani/Indians that lived in Banaadir also speak this same dialect. It isnt only banaadiris that speak it even Madows speak the same dialect.
