@The Midlands @Mckenzie @Rationale PL had the largest share of federal budget subsidies to the 5 FMS of Somalia Italiana . Last time I looked at it under your previous president Cheese the PL allocation was bigger than any FMS. PL/JL had more than HS/GM
It could be 2 square miles. Population is what matters and Benaadir doesnt get its fair share. Benaadir population is bigger than 4 out of the 5 FMS of Somalia Italiana
While I agree Xamar is heavily populated, but you would be surprised as how populous FMSs are now.
a) Those funds come from WB & IMF, and are determined prior to their being released, based on ongoing projects.
b) Funds are earmarked for various projects, and would vary from year to year, and to a region to a region. No surprise there.
In the years to come, some of the other FMSs might be allocated larger portions to develop.

No it doesnβt. Minister of finance report was 240 million for banadir and 37 million for Puntland. Thatβs the most for an FMS Mashallah but nowhere near Banadirs revenue. Banadir tax/revenue goes to the fgs and this is shared by the fgs to the FMS as annual budget

Gadhweyne, Banaadir revenue over 75% goes to the SFG 25% for the municipality aka maamulka Banaadir wich is not fair. 30% of SFGs budget is from Banaadir so it's the only region that pays taxes for the SFG. This money mixed with 70% from the donors made up the National budget and they go for the ministers, mps, agaasimayaadha, shaqaalaha SFG wich is based on 4.5 and each wasaarad gives jobs to their clan members, soldiers, CBB, corruption etc.
For the FMS except PL and JL the other 3 get paid $150k monthly but they pay for JL the army especially Gedo from this budget.
Outside of this budget for the SFG, there is another money from the donors for the FMS throught the SFG. SL had special arrangements gets paid directly. So no money from Banaadir goes to PL.

Could you share the documents? You might be comparing monthly vs annual revenues.
PL's budget for 2023, I think was 376 million USD. Did not intentionally leave the '6' out, did you?

No I didnβt intentionally leave out anything. The October 2022 revenue for Puntland was 9 million and banadir revenue for same month was 37 million. To think Puntland has higher domestic revenue than banadir is laughable to say the least, you can find this stat on ministry of finance website btw
PL annual revenue for 2022 was 354 million USD.
Was the 9 million the monthly budget?
As @Bowda-dheer might admit FGS money is fungible. Without Benaadie funds available to pay for FGS operations then some so called donor money has ro ve used ro fund day to day operations of the Somaalia Italiana federal government thus less so called donor funds going to PL i.e. Benaadir taxes go to PL as well as federal ministers from PL etc.

Couldnβt seem to find the october one but look at the September one which seems to be higher for both PL and banadir compared to October revenue. Look at where it says revenue. Puntland = 15 million. Banadir = 40 million ( the fgs βrevenueβis 100% banadir but because it isnβt part or a FMS, itβs listed as fgs

I knew you was gonna say that. Tell me where does FGS get the $40 million domestic revenue from? did it fall from the sky? All FMS have their own revenue listed there except for Somaliland so who else could it come from because I know it ainβt coming from seccionists
