From1949 to 1967, Palestine was divided and annexed by Egypt (Gaza) and Jordan (West Bank including the whole of Jerusalem), why didn’t they establish a Palestinian country? Any idea?

So if you buy a big acre in austrailia, you can just claim it be your own country? It does not work that way sxb. And war now makes it ok to just take whole countries? Smh. European, middle-eastern, african jews who has never lived in that area can today just pack their bags and move to israel, while a random palestinian refugee from the us can't, even though he is native to the area. And it does not explain why they are still making israeli settlements in the west bank, which is a part only reserved for the palestinians. That is just wrong. You don't even believe in the abrahamic religions so you can't stand behind the claim that they lived there 2000 years ago, and that the bible said so. And palestinians did not have anything to do with what happened on the holocaust, so i don't understand why they have to suffer for that. The jews were given an alternative to to move to madagascar but they refused and would rather move in a place and repopulate a whole society. The jews and christians already living in that area lived peacefully with the muslim arabs and didn't want the europeans come and make trouble for their lives. People still to this day criticises the palestianians for doing violent retaliations, well if we somalis were living in a restricted apartheid statet caused by ethiopia, would we not retaliate violently to secure our lands and freedoms? But maybe some people don't see it that way, and it is ok.

But this thread is not focused on that issue. A guy working for a news-outlet got smeared and lost his job just because he had his own opinion on the issue. Mind you, CNN is not part of israeli media. I personally don't hate the jews, but zionist i don't like.

Brother. I don't really give a f*ck about those arab nations, but the palestinians are not saudis, or egyptians. In my eyes, most of the arab nations are not better than israel. Saudis are their best buds. You just proved the point that arabs are not one thing and that some are vile.

But you know we could just accept israel and everything, but you know what, israel are not looking for a solution, they are in the best strategic position. And this cnn thing just proves that they want to control the narrative. And i believe something has to change to tip the scale, or this problem will go on forever.

Majority of Arabs are anti-Israel because of Israel's ambition of a greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates.

Jews were never the majority in historic Palestine and did not live there until after WWI.

Colonialism is incorrect, especially in the modern era. I have no problem with accommodating refugees in Somalia but that is allowing Israel to win an increasingly unwinnable situation.

Israel is getting closer to entering an indefensible position regarding its treatment of Palestinians and the two-state solution. The support of Saudi Arabia et. al is the final bullet.

The final bullet for South Africa was when other African nations recognised the apartheid government.

What I like to happen or what’s gonna happen, they are two opposing and contradictory things. I would like to see a Two State solution and both, the Palestinians and Israelis living side by side in peace. What’s gonna happen is different, because there’s no way a Palestinian State will ever emerge. Massive settlements were built around all the major cities in the West Bank, the Palestinians have little control there. For example, to get from point A to point B, you’ve to cross many Israeli military checkpoints. Most of the residents in those settlements are ultra Orthodox Jews who have bred so much over the last twenty years, they now enjoy a major stronghold on political influence that they now control a huge chunk of the Israeli Knesset (parliament) and which leader will form a government. In a decade, they will dominate the leadership of Israel. The secular Israelis who favoured peace with the Palestinians or a two state solution have either lost confidence in the concept and are now in a minority. They are at war with the religious zealots. No Israeli politician will now dare to ask the ultra Orthodox Jews to abandon their settlements to appease the Palestinians or any foreigners. The rest of the world led by the Arab and influential Islamic states are accepting the new realities on the ground. These ultra Orthodox Jews are the Real Zionists of Israel who believe in the biblical boundaries of Israel. They’ve passed a law that states Israel is legally a Jewish State. You know why? They are worried once Zionism is achieved, there will be only one state, Israel and they will be forced to absorb the Palestinians and accept them as Israeli citizens.
