Don't really care about any of these gaal systems but state capitalism ≠ socialism. North Korea is about as Socialist as National Socialist (Nazi) Germany was or about as much as it is also a Democratic People's Republic. They just slap these idiotic labels on but they don't function by them at all. Socialism pertains to workers owning and controlling the means of production. Communism pertains to this alongside a stateless, classless and moneyless society. No such thing existed in any "Socialist" or "Communist" historical state, including the USSR:

Just a capitalist type system now owned and run by the state. They take over all the major business and make government owned what was once private and if they're a bit more lax than that they just heavily plan and control the economy but otherwise keep it capitalist and allow private ownership of the means of production like in current "Communist" China. Socialism is not the government doing stuff despite what the great Marxist scholar Cenk Uygur believes:
