I'm almost fluent in Soomaali, I can speak and understand it very well but MY ACCENT IS BARELY THERE. Wallahi it upsets me but no matter how much I practice, it's barely improving. Are there any pronunciation guides online? I don't want to sound like an ajanabi

The reer moqdishiou accent is so hard to understand sometimes, the only Somalis I talk to have a reer waqooyi accent

What accent do you currently have? Try speaking to your parents in Somali everyday. If you don't live with them watch those Somali news channel or even the food channels on youtube and just mimic them. Start with a slow Somali talker and just keep increasing the speed. Also try pronouncing English words in a Somali accent lmfao it helps.

Honestly, my accent is a middle ground, not pure Somali or English. Regarding the last point, the only english words I can say in a Somali is 'six' and words that rhyme with it lmao
