Why wouldn't we like it? We were never against Somalia controling its own airspace.Our main problems was SFG getting our share of the revenue and security related.But now after the DP World port deal I don't think the SL goverment cares about the terms nor the revenue as much anymore.

The security issue is a non factor currently since it will take at least a decade before SFG has enough control in xamar and its federal states to use the airspace militarily.By that time the UAE military base in Somaliland would've been done a long time ago and have enough ways to counter SFG's military aircrafts that dare to cross our borders.

All in all it's been a good year for Somaliland and congrats for this victory.

No,they wouldn't set up a no fly zone but provide us with weapons.
I don't think the UAE would ignore us.Especially since they are majority share holders of the Berbera port.They probably wouldn't act themselves,but provide the weapons we would need.Just like how they do it in most of their proxy wars.

Most likely SFG would be backed by Turkey and Qatar if they ever started anything and UAE would be backing us to counter balance.

Actually although @Zero is often wrong I believe there will be quiet a battle for SSC especially.The oil in Sanaag and Sool is worth billions.I believe the US wants to acquire quiet a few funds from there.

The one who is begging foreigners for a proxy war is Somalia.Just count all the foreign troops on their soil.Turkey has a military base there,so does AMISOM.

Clean up your own backyard first before you point fingers at others.
