Somali Armed Forces

Without you demons getting butthurt and all triggered, lets have a humane discussion about the military sizes of each Somali region in Somalia.

A military personal in this case would be any group or organization that is trained and armed with an active manpower of over 1,000. Otherwise they'd just be militias

What is the Reserve Personal and active personal of each region,
including organizations that might not be states but still have manpower. ie. Khatumo and Ahlu Sunnah.

Knowing all that, what is the total military strength of All the regions and All the trained groups/organizations combined (Yes even Somaliland)

Would it go over a 100,000?

In a hypothetical scenario where Kenya and or Ethiopia were to invade, for either Ethiopia to get ocean access or Kenya to expand their sea border. Would All the Armed and Trained Forces of all the Somali regions/organizations if joined, be able to defend themselves and stand their ground.
Or would they be decimated do to small/outdated arms and men.

In 2006 when Ethiopia invaded Somalia couldn't hold or defeat the Somalis and had to order the amisom for help. Kenya worst defeat in her history was El adde when they lost 200 soldiers for first time in her history and had to retreat to the borders. And Somalis were just untrained teenagers against defence forces. Ethiopia started to play dirty instead of direct war. They put their spies and puppets and used al shabab as 4 generation of warfare to destabilize us. They are sending their illegal immigrants to outnumber us. Kenya is sending khat treated with chemical (opium war) to destroy our youth. They are doing it in direct and people are too dumb to see it.

Kenya's military is very weak. Somaliland alone has more manpower.

Ethiopia has the potential to do it but it is too divided to succeed. Also they have to keep most of their forces on the Eritrean border so they can't commit their total forces to invade.

A united Somali force can easily defend themselves against invasion. During the Ogaden War, the Somali Republic successfully invaded Ethiopia with only 20k soldiers, while Ethiopia needed 75k soldiers plus another 50k from their Soviet allies to kick them out.

If I'm not mistaken Ethiopia and Kenya are already in Somalia. The Somali "military" is composed of various rag-tag clan militias that are often prone to infighting. There is only one group of Somalis that possesses advanced combat and reconnaissance capabilities. I'm sure you're aware of that group..

he means complete annex process and Ethiopia almost half of their army left Somalia

Somalis, when united, are a formidable force. I'd like to know what the original numbers were for the SNA prior to the civil war.

I believe it was roughly 75-90 thousand. That was a lot in the 1970s-80s. One of the strongest militaries in africa, we used to be a fucking role model to other african countries.
Now look at US. SMFH:bell:

Its a while before the Somali National Army is properly rebuilt. Its funny how the UN keeps renewing the arms embargo, while expecting the SNA to fight Alshabab and giving money to AMISOM. It just shows you they have no interested in seeing the army rebuilt.

Luckily, Turkey with SFG will start training at soliders at the new military facility in Mogadishu, currently their training around 60 Airforce personnel and a number of Special forces. Theirs also plans to integrate soldiers from Puntland, Hirshabelle, Southwest and other regional states.

Are they all actually from different regions? I heard about the airforce thing but I thought they were all from Muqdisho or something. :ehh:

Wallahi if this is true it means these Turks actually serious about fixing the country. Creating an integrated (all maamuls) armed forces is integral to stopping rival maamuls fighting each other. The future is looking much more promising.

Either way mandatory military service is something Somalia needs. It'll be good for building trust between the people, build discipline, character and physical strength. As long as the program is free from corruption and qabilism it'll work wonders. The Army under Barre was strong and has a strict protocol with soldiers from all clans and regions (according to my father who served in it himself).

It dont really matter if the Turk is serious. Somalis themselves aint serious in building a proper armed forced. Those in leading position atleast.

Training will be a lengthy process for 20k soldiers, it will take longer if somaliland decides to join us and we have 75k soldiers to train

We have to wait a little longer if HSM wins. When we have our democratic elections after this 'election' we can move forward at a better place. Inshallah we will get someone better, someone that wants to serve the country. Maybe this election can turn out alright if a decent person manages to win although unlikely.

I know I have said otherwise but we can get there if we can change this government. Hopefully the Turks are playing with election aswell lol.

If we added somalia and Somalilands military it would total to 95k soldiers, which is pretty good for a population of 11m. Nowadays it's less about manpower and more about technology and resources. If Turkey (NATO) supplied us with up to date equipment and vehicles and we discovered oil to feed our war machines, we wouldn't even need ground troops to blow them back to their mud huts. I'd focus on military spending and equipment more than manpower, much like Saudi Arabia and European countries do.

Adheer I'm telling u Somalia has a ton of uranium. f*ck it we'll build nukes with it Insha'Allah :rejoice:

In fact in the 60s UN geologists calculated that Somalia I potentially had over 25% of the world's untapped Uranium reserves then. We can keep some sell some :whew:

Remember, bloodshed isn't the only solution. We can obliterate a small village with missiles and they'll be our after that. Much like the situation with America and Japan
