Somali atheists?

Somalis WHO are atheist usually dont have imaan/faith

And those who question wether Allah exist or not answer me this

If you believe god didnt create us and we evolved from monkeys

Have you ever observed this evolution with your own eyes?

Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor just preaching a opinion

Now you're showing your ignorance. Evolution is only constrained by how fast a species replicates. To see evolution in action one only has to take a look at bacteria. Have you heard about bacteria that have become resistant to antibiotics? Such medicines that help protect us from illnesses. That's evolution in action. Scientists can replicate generations of bacteria (thousands of generations) which can be seen in realtime and see the mutations and differences in their genome. Sometimes the differences can be so great that the decedents of the bacteria being studied can be considered an entirely different species. Even as a Muslim I had no issues with evolution. If God existed and he created everything, I saw DNA as his programming language. So whether a God exists or not, all humans and living things have a shared connection. The proof is in us and around us. What I am sure of is that Muhammad wasn't a messenger and his version of God does not exist.

No it's not. atheists deny any existence of a supreme being. Agnostics don't deny the existence of God neither do they believe in the existence of God.

You can't be Somali and gaal at the same time. Somali is one of a number of ethnicities formed by Islam. In the past the people that were not muslim or refused to convert were exiled, one such case is suspected to be the rendille tribe now living in Kenya. Virtually 99% of somalis are muslim and has a powerful influence on our identity, interests and sympathies.

What an absurd and paradoxical comment. Islam didn't exist since the beginning of time, and certainly wasn't introduced to the region before Somalis came about.

Also, what has your interests in religious identity gotten you? Being a lapdog for the Saud family or being bossed around in the UN to vote for their interests?

And neither did Somali, genius. Somalis are merely an east Cushite speaking people whom likely expanded from Ethiopia at different waves. Somali people themselves share ties based on their faith, as in islam was the first and foremost relation that they had. Non somalis were invariably known as gaalo regardless of race, culture or background. People who spoke Somali and refused Islam were expelled as is believed to be the case with the rendille.

The problem with Somalis is really down to IQ, it's a problem that really plagues the region. Ethiopians whom are secular christians rule one of the most primitive and backwards countries in Africa. Observe the contrast between Northern Sudan and Southern Sudan, one is muslim and the other not.

The Somali people's language & cultural customs pre-date Islam by thousands of years. To say that religion was their first relation is gross misinformation. How can people who share family, language & culture not already be tied? They makeup a distinct group. They also had their own pre-Islamic beliefs (where do you think the word Eebe came from). The decedents of these people are now called Somali, whether or not they were known by another name prior to Islam. A rose by any other name is still a rose. It is from these people that we now have non-Muslims like myself. Your objections cannot undo our existence. We have every right to the Somali identity as any of you and we intend to keep it. Get comfortable.

Actually Somali ≠ Religion

I'd appreciate it if you did not speak for all Somalis. Somali is just an ethnicity. You might consider yourself nothing without religion. The rest of us carry on just fine.

99.9% of Somalis are Muslim and many aspects of their culture are connected to their faith, in fact, try and talk that Bila Deen in the motherland, you'll get lynched and made an example, heck your own clan will even abandon you.

Xeerta Ayan Xirsi gets no stripes in the motherland.

We are well aware that your toxic ideology causes families to exile and/or kill their own children. Change will have to come from within, hopefully in our lifetime. Our numbers keep growing. I dare say the average Somali Atheist has spent more time studying Islam than the average Muslim. It's funny actually. Most atheists I've come across wanted to be better Muslims at some point, and the journey itself leads them to inevitable disbelief. Stop being surface Muslims and dig beneath it to see the true picture.

Listen you delusional garac, I'm in the motherland and kids are shocked to even hear that I have non-Muslim friends, the idea of becoming a gaal is alien to them, and their faith in Islam is too strong since they were not exposed to the filth you was exposed to, wallahi your existence as a community is limited and is only ever seen online, you are like rats in real life that scram when light hits them, you will never hold ground in the mother land, if qabil divides Somalis, then religion unites them, and since the pre-islamic somali culture was inherently monotheistic, you can consider watching a doofar fly over the moon before thinking that within your lifetime the majority of somalis will apostate, war bal garacan yaa naga qaba, change your name to basaasman , you ain't somali you fucc boi.

Stay real in the everything fake era
Imagine this world if it was too hot,
Like bubbling water in a boiling pot,
If it was overcome by such a intense heat,
Such that it would destroy plants, barley and wheat,
The North Pole would begin to disappear,
The whole kingdom would be struck with fear,
The sizzles of heat would spread in the sky,
Nothing would dare to fly,
Before we figure out how and why,
Mankind would surely blazingly die.

Imagine the world if the temperature was too low,
Like runny liquid that begins to move slow,
If it was struck with such a severe freeze,
Such that it would blow an unbearable breeze,
The oceans, rivers and lakes would become ice,
Everything in them would suffocate to death,
We would inhale snowballs with every breath,
Before we try to solve and mend,
Mankind would surely face a shivering end.

These imaginations are endless,
These imaginations are only imaginations,
But these imaginations are possible.
This world has been made suitable for us,
This did not happen by chance,
All these wonders of nature are on our side,
This is not by chance,
The signs are there so take a glance,
There is a Controller,
There is a Creator,

There is a God!

But was the somali identity acually in existence for so long? nope.

Soomaal speakers shared ties with hundreds of Cushitic speaking Christians/Pagans that also shared culture and there were some to extent mutual intelligibility in language, similar to the Rahanweyn today. But the biggest factor and catalyst that cemented ties between particular east cushitic speaking tribes was islam. Islam gave us (1) clan (which created unity and identity), (2) religion (which created new ties with the Arab world, established laws and lastly contributed significantly to culture.

They makeup a distinct group. They also had their own pre-Islamic beliefs (where do you think the word Eebe came from). The decedents of these people are now called Somali, whether or not they were known by another name prior to Islam.
Youll find similar languages spoken and similar deities worshipped by the orma or the Rendille, yet none of these are considered Somali because they don't satisfy the many
prerequisite factors that make one in the first place.

I trust Somali atheists far more than Somali Muslims in position of power.. :kanyeshrug:

Atheist aren't serious about their atheism in general even more so the ones on this forum. When I first came on here from somnet I mockingly pretended to be a atheist and then faked a reversion to see what would happen and the head atheist on this forum Abdijohnson reverted to shiasim immidiatly :cryinglaughsmiley:

@AbdiJohnson why is atheism such a feeble ideology that can be shattered with ease?

I appreciate that you used the word "reverted".

Atheists are respectable people
