I know the attacks are xenophobic in nature .. I just wanted to add some nuance to the conversation. Those areas are some of the most violent, crimeridden and destitute areas in the country. Acknowledge what I said was true. I even said foreigners that come to that country from the West to exploit are not touched. There are extreme inequities with the cadaans having a monopoly on their economy, even treating the majority of Bantus as second-class citizens in their own country. South Africans do have something against Somalis. They have said all Somali plazas sell expired food, and Somalis use these shops to fund terrorism. That's what the average SA thinks about Somalis, and this causes Somalis to face xenophobia and attacks because they believe we deserve it. There’s different stereotypes for ethnic groups, Nigerians face xenophobia too but due to another stereotype.

I don't generally think highly of people who are in low income developing areas with high crime rates. When I say "wish them well", I'm referring to the entire country. A developed South Africa would be good for other law abiding Africans who come to the country. But as a lot of Somali shopkeepers got killed there, they should stay in Somalia or at least East Africa to continue their businesses. Somalis have an easier time in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

There is significant potential for them to pool their resources together, establish Black-owned businesses, and support one another by circulating wealth within their communities.
