Drugs can destroy a whole city. It's not just the addicts but the sale of drugs involves murder somewhere down the line. It also destroys a community so much that little kids can't play safely in the street or sleep sound at night due to the excessive crime it brings. Mexico's extremely high murder rate is all down to drugs.

I'm pretty sure the whole pharmaceutical business operates this way though. Most of the medicine that they give you can ruin your life if used excessively.
