There's alot of them around. There is a woman in her 30s on my 23andme who didn't know she was half Somali. This was when 23andme said "East African" instead of "Somali". Her white hooyo told her she met a man named "Jamal" and that he told her he was Egyptian or Jamaican (I forgot which) and her daughter told me "it was obviously not a serious relationship". I told the woman her dad was 100% Somali and she was surprised and didn't believe it. I did some digging with all the info she gave me and I found out her abo is now a bus driver (at least he was a few years ago) with a wife and kids. A close family member told me the info aligns with an infamous "playboy" and who went to college in Toronto, one of the few Somalis to do so then as the community was kind of small then. Every Somali knew each other then. I told him he has a child out of wedlock and he said I'm sure there's more. He wasn't phased at all. He was only surprised she listed as a relative because we aren't related to him which makes me think Somalis are inbred.
I still can't believe Somalis who screwed around used the "Jamal" fake name in the 1980s. Jamal was the most used fake name when Somali guys screwed around when I was in school.

This is why I don’t want to do 23andme, I fear my adeers potential kids will contact me and I refuse to take the responsibility for him. I know there is an option to not seek out relatives but Im too curious.
