My son is a quarter Fassi (heavily European Jewish) which is why he even gets 3% Steppe ancestry despite being half Somali and quarter Southern Moroccan.He still has less Steppe than the half Somali-half North Moroccan Berber sims. My son is also more Natufian and more SSA than them.

When it comes to SSA, there doesn't seem to be as large of a gap. Your son and that Somali-Chefchaouen Jebli cord has a difference of 2-3 if i'm not wrong. IBM is part "SSA/SSA-related"

If you account for the ANA in IBM in addition to traditional SSA, my son is 5% more African.

38% African and the rest MENA. We also have to remember even the Natufians & Neolithic Anatolians had IBM ancestry. We can never truly get an accurate West Eurasian/African percentage because it varies depending on the model and as what one defines as West Eurasian.

He's right sxb, 30 "South Sudanese" + "16" IBM/2= 8. 30+8=38 SSA. Don't you also have higher Arabian than most somalis? Around 7~ Arabian if i'm not wrong. It might "level" or "balance" the higher SSA which your wife already has.

How did you calculate the "SSA" figure if you don't mind me asking.
Northern Moroccans tend to have decreased SSA when it comes to most maghrebis but they still fit into the "15-25" SSA averages.
As they have on average 30 IBM~ which itself is part ANA.

Correct. Natufians were "21.2% Northern African" and had "6.8" Omotic related ancestry. 21.2/2 = 10.6+6.8=17.4 "SSA".

@Garaad Awal Is this true? I calculated it in a similar way akhi which is why i got very confused. Sorry to bring this up....

Do you have Baggara arab samples? The most eurasians could cluster quite close since they have more West African/Maghrebi admixture than Sudanese Nile Nubians and Arabs

People in the plains tend to have higher SSA than people from the more coastal areas if i'm not wrong.

Maghrebis have very high levels of Anatolian Admixture, which makes them much more lighter compared to their Egyptian counterparts. The Anatolians introduced light skin to Britain for example, although the eastern hunter gathers did have light skin. They were isolated from populations in Britain. Phenotype=/Genotype at the end of the day,
