Somali kingdoms on old 1554 map?

This map was made around the adal and ajuran period and it shows different kingdoms in the area of greater somalia. Most somali areas are part of an area called regnum de seylum, whereas a little bit of south somalia is called the azania region which is part of an area that includes ethiopia called regnum melinde. The meaning of Regnum de seylum and regnum melinde is kingdom of seylum and kingdom of melinde, as shown by the crowns depicted on the map. Apparently melinde is malindi which is a town in kenya and seylum is the latinization of saylac.

How would these kingdoms correlate with adal and ajuran empires and what do they mean?
