Exactly. There is without a doubt issues but it is clear from the language and translations used the guy had an agenda. He wanted to seem like a bad-ass in the "most dangerous city". There was a lot of dishonesty and im glad his video was taken down.I watched it. Yes, he was promoting an image that wasn’t 100% truthful. The little kid who said alhamdulilah we’re fine, but the translator said his father died? Was it devious? Of course. But, the fact remains that those images showed that Somalia has a long way to go. If the people in Somalia don’t fix up, we cannot get upset when a foreigner comes and shits all over the country, when we don’t even treat it with respect (did you see the level of trash near the beaches, and streets?)
Both are true: The diaspora enjoys a luxurious lifestyle while a majority of the locals are poor. That cannot be right. It’s also not sustainable.
