Cry about itDo you know what a cuckold is you freak? You’re the same guy calling other Somalis all sorts of names over made up qabils but then getting mad when people comment on oromos or minorities in Somalia or palestinians. Typical salafi retard, turning into a one ummah nationalist when people comment on ajanabis but still finding the time to do fkd against your fellow Somalis
Idk how you can live in this rw dominance era and disagree. Do you think the right wing shift happening is just random? People are focusing race and ethnicity more than ever. Affirmative action is gone, republicans are going after schools that they think don’t pander to them, international students are being asked to leave the country and I’m not even talking about students involved in protests. Burying your head in the sand in times like this is dumb. Of course there are people who don’t view everything through race but they’re becoming a minority as social media algorithms boost divisive content in order to convert apolitical people into rw people. The honesty is killing me lol,
Race and ethnicity are not at the forefront of everything, I just think it is for you and a bunch of other people who I also think you hyper focus on while ignoring people who don’t view everything through race and then use those people to justifying also viewing everything through a racial lense. There is nothing wrong with noticing that certain groups are hold to a higher moral standard, that’s true, but to mention it on a post about a random guy working a morally questionable job, is very weird, especially since I’m sure the guy who posted it doesn’t hold somalis to a higher moral standard, neither do most people, and the people who were saying racist remarks weren’t saying it because they hold somalis to a higher standard but rather they already have their own opinion on us and just used that guy as a shield to justify it.
We manage to become the face of stuff like this because of Somalis themselves, That guy who posted that was out of pocket for doing so, it is his fault. I think that last sentence applies to every single ethnic group, certain people always focus on negatives and ignore positives, I think alot of the things you guys complain about on here happen with other ethnic groups. You just interact with Somalis and are mostly in Somali spaces so you don’t see it, neither do they, and they say the exact same thing, for the same reason.
it’s not, it’s Somali themselves who like to scream about these things.
I’ve had that “same grace” extended to me multiple times, there’s plentry of Ajanbis who give Somalis grace and are more rational, there’s plenty of nice non-Somalis out there, once again using other people’s bad behaviour to justify your own
You said “Arabs and Asians are smart enough to protect their own” i Said I’m not gonna protect someone just because their Somali, I don’t know what this whole paragraph is supposed to counter.
No one aside from a stupid person thinks we’re all responsible for the actions of other somalis, your wording to me is very weird, you make it sound as if most people think like that, when they don’t, social media exaggerates these kind of things, especially on twitter (where it was originally posted).
No one said don’t push back against it, and no one said it wasn’t weird to post the guys info,
People do the same about a bunch of other countries to, but yeah I agree it’s wrong, but I think being overfamiliar with us is a lot more harmless than you guys make it seem.
Agreed , I’m replying as I’m reading so sorry because I mentioned this above, lol.
No, Somalis are not to blame for people applying untrue & fake stereotypes to us to make themselves look better. No, we’re not to blame for ajanabis following us around on the internet. I follow many Somali influencers and see them getting constant weird comments from ajanabis who think they have the right to police us and can critique everything we do. I do not see Somalis doing the same and arguing with random ajanabi influencers over their choice of outfit or song choice or whatever. Why would it be our fault? You’re saying “it’s Somali themselves who like to scream about these things” when that isn’t true. What did this guy do besides make a linkedin account? What do the random Somali girls who have to deal with ajanabis spamming “it’s always them” in their comments do besides post videos of themselves? What did Somalis do to deserve ajanabis making jokes about us being #1 in a crime league table when actual crime tables look like this?

Oromo alertCry about it, keep defending someone you have no ties to. I'm defending my people, my religion! Leave this Somali unity bullshit out in the trash where it belongs.

You’re genuinely insane. It’s “unity bullshit” to care about other Somalis? Do you hear yourself? How can you post that with a straight face but then say “I’m defending my people”? What ethnicity are you?Cry about it, keep defending someone you have no ties to. I'm defending my people, my religion! Leave this Somali unity bullshit out in the trash where it belongs.

the man doesn’t sell weapons, he works in IT and handles lost passwords and email addressesIbn Hazm said in al-Muhalla:
It is not permissible to sell anything to someone who will certainly use it to disobey Allah and the transaction is null and void. For exampe, such as selling anything that may be squeezed or pressed to one who will certainly use it to make alcohol, or selling a slave to one who will certainly mistreat his slaves, or selling weapons or horses to one who will certainly use them for aggression against the Muslims, or selling silk to one (a man) who will certainly wear it, and so on with regard to all things, because Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
"Cooperate with one another in goodness and righteousness, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression. And be mindful of Allah. Surely Allah is severe in punishment." [Quran 5:2]
Then kindly stop referring to this man whos just working a job and refer to “your people” which this innocent man isnt a part of.Cry about it, keep defending someone you have no ties to. I'm defending my people, my religion! Leave this Somali unity bullshit out in the trash where it belongs.

There are times in which things can be seen through a ethnic lense and times when it should not, we are talking about this specific instance of this man being posted for working at Lockheed Martin, and how you kept viewing through an ethnic lense, me saying don’t view everything through a racial lense, doesn’t mean don’t ever. This Whole paragraph has nothing to do with what we are talking about.Idk how you can live in this rw dominance era and disagree. Do you think the right wing shift happening is just random? People are focusing race and ethnicity more than ever. Affirmative action is gone, republicans are going after schools that they think don’t pander to them, international students are being asked to leave the country and I’m not even talking about students involved in protests. And was this the majority of people? Or was it just a few twitter accounts, why should he delete the tweet because people have their own biases, don’t get me wrong I do think he should delete it, but because it was way to out of pocket, not because of that. The guy who posted the original tweet allowed the tweet to stay up even as people were calling the guy slurs.
Haye, the original tweet was deleted so I can’t see it or go through the guys account to see what kind of person he is, so I will take your word for this. also that last sentence is so much more proof to me of your misplaced priorities, lmao.. Let’s say he was truly disappointed to see a Somali person working there and had no evil intentions, why would he still leave the tweet up even as people were being racist to the tech guy? Why didn’t he respond to any of the racist comments and tell them they were wrong for saying that? The account that posted the original tweet does hold Somalis to a higher moral standard & would never post about any of the stuff ajanabis do. He was one of those weirdos who enjoy bringing attention to Somalis that he thinks are doing something wrong (eg working for this kinda company or going on a dating show etc) thinking that they will get praise from their followers for calling this person out when it just leads to people commenting slander against Somalis as a whole. Because that’s what happens when people post that kinda content, ajanabis still see those people as Somali and will use their post against them in the future when they get into an argument.
depends on what we’re talking about, You mentioned Somalis being put as the faces of ”these kind of things” ( Muslims working for unethical companies etc) so I said it’s our fault, because it’s Somalis who call out other Somalis for these things, when I said we become the face of stuff like this, the “this“ was referring to what happened in this case ( that guy being exposed for working at Lockheed Martin) I obviously don’t thing all our stereotypes are our fault. You keep bringing up random points that have nothing to do with what I’m trying to say, what does us being stereotype as criminals have to do with thisNo, Somalis are not to blame for people applying untrue & fake stereotypes to us to make themselves look better. No, we’re not to blame for ajanabis following us around on the internet. I follow many Somali influencers and see them getting constant weird comments from ajanabis who think they have the right to police us and can critique everything we do. What did Somalis do to deserve ajanabis making jokes about us being #1 in a crime league table when actual crime tables look like this?
You said “ Its’s exhausting seeing Somalis be nuanced and rational when it comes to others when people do not give us that same grace back” so I replied saying you’re using other peoples weird behaviour to justify you’re own, the ”bad behaviour“ was referring to you and other people who have this mindset, justifying it by other people’s actions, you know what you’re saying isn’t rational but you keep peddling it because of other peoples actions and stooping down to their level. I thought i was being pretty clear, My bad,I can’t understand justifying racism (because that’s what all of the examples above are) because there are a couple of annoying Somalis on the internet.
It’s nice you’ve had good experiences, so have I but that doesn’t mean I can’t help but notice the fact that it’s usually Somalis being naive and playing nice. What bad behavior are you talking about? We live in the west. This man choosing to work at a defense company isn’t bad behavior lol it’s life here. The average person wouldn’t look at him and think he’s a bad person for working there. People in the west don’t think that hijabi in jeans is a bad person either. I don’t ever see Somalis attacking random muslim women who wear their hijab with their hair showing but I definitely see ajanabis doing that to us. What’s the Somali equivalent of ajanabis commenting “it’s always the Somalis” since you think we’re all as bad as each other?
I said I agree multiple times, what that guy did is out of pocket snd the new tweet bringing him up one and a half years later is weird as well. I’m talking about protecting people cause their Somali because you literally said “Arabs and Asians are smart enough to protect their own” .I’m explaining why it’s weird for people to repost a screenshot from 2023 to attack this guy and you’re talking about protecting someone just because they’re Somali. Any sane person would think it’s weird to save a photo from two years ago just to get some likes on twitter.
Social media does exaggerate things, I thought this was common knowledge, if you interact with certain things more it’s going to pop up more on you feed which can you a skewed perception of reality, but thats just one example but I can’t be asked to go into it, honestly same for the rest of what you wrote, I can’t be asked to counter it, you wrote way too much, arguments are tiring, I just have bad habit of getting into them. You have your opinion i have mine, it‘s late and I have some things to do before I go to bed, Goodnight abayo.Thinking that social media exaggerates things and is just bots or whatever is dumb. Nobody knew about the Haitians cat issue in Ohio until a twitter account started posting about it and then it went viral and became the number one news story. What happened after? Trump won and those Haitians got deported. You’re deluding yourself if you think it’s just botted likes. The average person gets their news from social media.
Do you think people go up to the average Albanian and ask them for their thoughts on Kosovo or Serbia? Do they ask Bangladeshis about their thoughts on the 1971 war? I can continue and give many examples. The overfamiliar behavior Somalis experience is not normal and does not happen to other ethnic groups at the same rate it happens to us. The qabil, xalimo/abdi, SL/Somalia talk is weird and not harmless at all. You do not see Somalis going around and asking these weird questions to others the way people do to us. Idk how you can deny this and pretend that all ethnic groups experience this as regularly as we do.
A lot of the things I explain about do happen with other ethnic groups but most of it comes from people from other ethnic groups attacking them. They don’t have to worry about their own posting linkedin screenshots or arguing with them for taking a photo with an influencer or saying it’s their own fault for being loud online or doing weird stuff like this

If you think that people don’t hold Somalis to a higher standard then idk what to tell you. Chunkz was getting hate from tjs because another guy used a racial slur despite the fact that there was a south asian man there who ignored the racial slur.
