It's just the way he sounds. To me, he sounds like he is mocking Somalis who cling to Arabness by eliciting negative feedback from Arabs. But you never know.

You know what the irony is? Jabarti was the nisba for people who originated from Northern-Western Somalia, Muslim geographers used to call it Jabarta and this was centuries before the father of Darood(Abdurahman) , Ismail Ibrahim Al-Jabarti
He is not Yemeni. Nisba Al-Jabarti meant that he was Somali from Somalia. Because Jabarta is what they called Northern region. We have Manuscripts from Yemen Rasulid Dynasty that covers it
You are right Somalis often took pride in where they were from and carried a nisba to denote their homeland.
Anyways those manuscripts are interesting, in so far as they reveal that despite Somalis taking on the Aqili Quraishi lineage claim they didn't necessarily see themselves as Arabs and Arabs saw us al-ajam (non-arab) regardless.

I know they are patriotic. The trolls online are both, but mostly oromo. I’ve seen a few on tiktok who are hellbent on discrediting somali history and identity, they seem to know alot about banadiri culture and hadramout
They seem to carry alot of grievances bcs of the war (who doesnt) but also I think this recent behaviour is a reaction to those ethnic somali trolls that terrorize them online
No he is not trolling. This has to be addressed. Somali clans like Daarood and Isaaq believed they are Arabs and acted Arab. They claimed to be of Arab descent and toyed with their own lineages to make them match their lies. Siad barre said at one point that daarood are descendants of Magaadleeh samale and Isaaq were known to be Dir by their elders (DNA proved both claims) but both clans had Ana Carab wannabes and started making up lies about us being Arabs and the result is a flood of ciyaal casiir who believed that. Btw most of them are going back to Somalia when their parents sponsorship is no longer valid and they will spread these lies like fire.
