There were people in the apartment when he died. You're right; Somalis don't talk.
A few years ago a Somali was killed in a shisha spot in Edmonton, filled with dozens of Somalis. His murder is still not yet solved after about 5 years. They don't even know how the killer looks like. The police said the Somali community was uncooperative and said they'll close the file and Somali community leaders cried racism and demanded an apology.
Now that I think of it; of the 100 Somalis murdered in the past 10 years in Alberta, maybe less than 5 were solved.
It's far, far worse now than before sxb. You can be shot and killed for practically no reason these days. These kids aren't anything like dudes in my age group. Back then you only used to hear about people dropping over gang politics. These days, be at the wrong place and the wrong time and not known by those around, and you're an "opp" and thus a target. Even the fobs/qaxootis are getting stuck up these days. All of these kids have lost their minds and are on some kind of combination of mollies, xanax, pain medication, and alcohol all of the time. You aren't dealing with people who even understand the consequences of their actions anymore or even care about it to begin with.
But the community will say its the government and police's fault that this is happening. Or outright deny it and claim their son is a good boy who is not involved with any crime and attends university.
