noun
noun: adultery; plural noun: adulteries
  1. voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse.
"she was committing adultery with a much younger man"
Adultery is from a married woman/man, not unmarried. Married cheating = death by stoning according to our beloved merciful allah. unmarried sex is not referred to as adultery

In surah an nur ayah 2

The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual intercourse - lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment.

This for the unmarried people with 4 witnesses

But the married people according a hadith

Narrated Abu Huraira: A man from Bani Aslam came to Allah's Apostle while he was in the mosque and called (the Prophet ) saying, "O Allah's Apostle! I have committed illegal sexual intercourse." On that the Prophet turned his face from him to the other side, whereupon the man moved to the side towards which the Prophet had turned his face, and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I have committed illegal sexual intercourse." The Prophet turned his face (from him) to the other side whereupon the man moved to the side towards which the Prophet had turned his face, and repeated his statement. The Prophet turned his face (from him) to the other side again. The man moved again (and repeated his statement) for the fourth time. So when the man had given witness four times against himself, the Prophet called him and said, "Are you insane?" He replied, "No." The Prophet then said (to his companions), "Go and stone him to death." The man was a married one. Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari said: I was one of those who stoned him. We stoned him at the Musalla ('Id praying place) in Medina. When the stones hit him with their sharp edges, he fled, but we caught him at Al-Harra and stoned him till he died.

Sahih al-Bukhari, 7:63:196 Sahih al-Bukhari, 2:23:413 Sahih al-Bukhari, 3:34:421 Sahih al-Bukhari, 3:49:860 Sahih al-Bukhari, 3:50:885 Sahih al-Bukhari, 4:56:829 Sahih al-Bukhari, 6:60:79 Sahih al-Bukhari, 7:63:195

I imagine cheating your wife with a different lady, you deserve to die.

If you are not married and done sex and have 4 witnesses
You get 100 lashes
So you can not get punished in the day of judgement.

If you are married and done sex with a different lady other than your wife and have 4 witnesses
You have to be stone to death so you don'the get punished in the day of judgement.

Yep. Men who marry and commit zina under shariah get the stoning treatment.

Stoning is a abrogated law derived from the torah, we all know what Allah said in the Quran about adultery, it was public flogging.

Muslims see a Hadith of the Prophet when he was judging people according to the torah in the first 18 months of Medina before Allah changed the qibla and made several laws mansukh in the Quran.

There is no mention of stoning in the Quran [2] and it is not legal in most Muslim countries. During the Ottoman Empire there was only one stoning authorised in 500 years

Whoever inserted 'Unmarried' in the translations of that verse may God guide him, we know what Allah said, he said the adulterer and the adulteress, not the unmarried....

I refuse to believe that the one Allah calls in the Quran a mercy to the worlds left this to us as a legacy to be implemented, Quran comes first before the Sunnah, and we should read the Hadith in the light of what the Quran says.

This is wrong under omar rule only one person was stoned you need 4 witnesses to see bahalka go inside the xalimo which is impossible.

Flogging is only for those who are unmarried. Those who commit adultery while married are put to death.

The criteria for that is high.

4 witnessses who saw the act. A confession. Or other proof such as preganancy. Having sex while not married is a different ball game from doing the same act whilst married. The latter is a serious case. Stoning is derived from the hadiths. And they are valid in islamic law. But to stone someone you need a high burden of proof. If you are dumb enough to have sex in front of 4 people then you probably deserve to get stoned
