Somali men should grow out their hair long and beards thick

Globalisation is what I blame, many other countries also used to embrace long hair until the last few centuries. Now it’s only acceptable for men to have short or medium hair. Glad to see more bros growing out their hair long.
Same, I’ve noticed beard + long hair doesn’t look good on Somali guys. Both look fine by themselves, but they’re ugly when you have both at the same time.
I actually think is more to do with self hate than global influence.
Bleaching is a growing phenomena in Somalia.
People are losing their self pride and becoming insecure of their ethnic features.
They’re consuming Indian mainstream contents.
They gotta stop doing that and start relying on African or Somali televised mainstream contents.
But this self loathing stems mostly from poorer countries.
When you’re insecure of your self image sometimes you wanna be someone you’re not.

Never really grown my hair past a certain point, but during covid my beard got huge, my hair has gotten a lot better after not using shampoo.
if you have short to medium length hair, it’s best to have a beard and you can keep it rugged/scruffy and long. if you have long hair it’s best to keep a stuble and line it up.
The key is having a balance that compliments and evens out the face. having a complete shaved head and no facial hair will make you look like boy. having long hair and a long scruffy beard will make you look homeless

I think you should grow a beard once bidaar settles in. For now, I don’t believe beard looks good for Somali guys under the age of 33
I don't use many products, I wash my hair with shea butter conditioner, 1-2 times a month with the shampoo variant, I also use the leave-in conditioner daily.
Gently remove the water with your hands first from the hair, then pat it dry gently with a towel and let it air dry.
Nowadays, I don't keep it as long.
