After school, single mother of three Kamar, 38, was supposed to go to Ikea to do some last-minute shopping before moving to a new apartment.
Instead, she became one of Rickard Andersson's ten victims in the mass shooting in Örebro.
- She did everything for her three children, says her cousin Ibrahim.


It was lunchtime and mother of three Kamar – who was studying for her Swedish degree at Campus Risbergska in Örebro – was on her way to the school restaurant to eat.
– We have been told by her teachers that they went there to buy food. Then they heard the sound of gunshots and people shouting “our, our”, says her cousin Ibrahim.
After that, several pieces of the puzzle about Kamar’s last seconds of life are still missing.
“My body was shaking”:
When her cousin, sister and aunt heard that something had happened at the school, they tried to call Kamar several times.
There were signals, but no answer. Kamar, who always answered. Why didn’t she answer?
– I immediately felt that something was not right. My body was shaking, says her aunt Asli.
Although there was hope, the family understood that the chance that Kamar had made it was small.
– We had some hope, maybe she was just injured and would come back. "But the day we were told she wasn't just black, it was dark, dark, dark. It was like going blind," Asli continues.


After studying Swedish, Kamar planned to continue her studies to either work in healthcare as a nurse or assistant nurse. She could also imagine working in social services.
– She wanted to continue and study an education in the future, to move on, says her aunt Asli.
Kamar didn’t want an office job, but to work with people.
Asli continues:
– She didn’t want to just sit down. Not just write. She wanted to work in healthcare or preschool. She was so social.

Swedish media has been heavily anti-immigrant over the last few years with far right groups gaining significantly more popularity, along with many other parts of Europe, this rhetoric spreads and causes events like this to happen.

I know I'm falling on deaf ears to people here as I've said it many times before, but the power of hateful rhetoric is immense in this new era of media, they shape how people perceive gender and racial relations, as we see with the rise of RedPill and racist rhetoric everywhere. People like Elon Musk have heavily invested in this culture to further sow division, it's extremely easy to do so and legitimate race riots have been started in nations because of it. People are stupid and can easily have their views swayed and it's integral that you don't feed into that

Don't feed into the hate you see online as I see so many people do here, and PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD stop engaging in bullsh!t that makes people hate Somalis, there are real world consequences for shit like this even if there are people that already hated us.
