@Som

He should rule Somalia in exchange for abolishing the clan states and restoration of a centralized unitary Somalia
The best thing for somalia would be an enlighted governement within a transition period. Let's say it's 10 years, for 10 years you give all the power to people like Abdulqawi and other officials who have experience and are trustworthy so they can fix the problems of the country. After 10 years if thingsa are good you organize elections and full democracy

A Centralised Dictatorship would be the biggest nightmare for Somaliland. Trust and believe that the army would show up in your triangle and force you back.

Impossible as Somaliland will have her independence recognised before the UN arms embargo is fully lifted.

Our policy towards Somalia mirrors Eritrea's policy towards Ethiopia i.e. two separate countries that each have a central government that's all powerful

PS does the ex British Protectorate look like a triangle to you lmao

i'm not so sure about that. SL has been asking for recognition for 30 years, the time window between 1991 and 2012 was the best chance for somaliland to get recognized because Somalia still had a transitional governement with limited power and recognition, Now Somalia has a functioning governement so the only way Somaliland can get full independence is through an agreement with Somalia like Sudan did with South Sudan.

Africa's borders are colonial made, should we allow every reer hebel to break down the continent into a thousand pieces lol

@Som the union between SL and Somalia was not legally ratified back in 1960, as Somalia can never have the right or the capability to force us to reunite with them our bid for recognition will eventually come I have no doubt. The UN arms embargo will only be lifted once we become the newest UN Member State
