I've been selected to lol this lady just couldn't stop telling me wow your facial features and the hair apparently she's never seen an afro before. They like unique and strange things luckily for her my mother ended it. I'm glad though I didnt go I do not think my family would be very happy if I were a model. They would rather I invested time in my education and do something useful for my community and back home.

I think he's expressing disbelief at my comment like Abdalla. They're overestimating commercial modeling, though. It's very girl next door and where I am even less so impressive because you stick out like a sore thumb as a minority.
Which claims ? There is still a lot of intrest for east african models. Like @VixR said the girls go for commercial rather than runway. The cuacasion features is what mistifies people which is strange becuase east africa is the bedrock of human civilization. The features are natural and unique to their own origin.
That's exactly why they so desperately try to assign east african women and especially horn of africa as their ideal african woman. Which futher fuels the racial devision between the negro and the exotic East african queen. Becuase she is more cuacasion in appreance thus worthy of display.
