They came by boat for trading and business, which is why there was more Harti in Mogadishu than HG in 1932 according to the Italian census.

What resources did Harti steal? Homes? Bajuni lived in huts. Wealth? They had none as they were fishermen. Farms? They didn’t own any farms. Whilst HG stole homes belonging to others, farms belonging to others, women, they even taxed people in Lower Shabelle to use the water.
