Somali version of fufu

This is not a traditional Somali dish unless someone here proves otherwise. Also, the lady making it? Is she from a minority clan?

I am sure it is yummy but can we not ascribe things to our culture that are not ours??
Soor is definitely a Somali dish in the same way other dishes influenced by our trading history are. Even if it's from a minority clan, it's still technically "Somali". I've seen rhis dish before but I do not think it's typically eaten. My parents are from the North-East and grew up in the south. It's more of a southern dish, especially where the Somali Bantus live.

But I do agree, Soor is not usually made this way. It looks weird. I would say it's prepared more like Fufu. Nothing wrong with that of course but it's good to make a distinction.

Yeah, the ones I've seen are more "wet". I'm not a fan of it personally
I'm indifferent to it personally, can be really nice pour some nice suugo and have some malaay with it. Used to eat it a lot πŸ˜‚
