Ajuran did not exist in the thirteenth century, but rather appeared in the sixteenth century, and they also did not have their own currencyWhat's wrong with it?
Geledi had a huge influence on MogadishuAjuran did not exist in the thirteenth century, but rather appeared in the sixteenth century, and they also did not have their own currency
2 Gladi did not rule Mogadishu and did not face Oman
Persian was not an official language in Mogadishu
People usually edit and change wiki pages willy nilly with no fact checking so as a rule of thump you don't use wikipedia as a primary source.
Al-idrisi already mention the existence of hawiya meaning the ajuraan in marka in the 12th century and ibn sa'id clearly stated that their capital was marka in the 13th century. Oral tradition of marka states that the ajuraan ruled for 500 years up until the 16th century. In summary yes the ajuran isn't a 13th century sultanate it's older than that and is at least a 12th century sultanate if not a bit older.Ajuran did not exist in the thirteenth century, but rather appeared in the sixteenth century, and they also did not have their own currency

I don't think so. The only dynasty present in southern Somalia before the 13th century is the Fakhr ad-DinPeople usually edit and change wiki pages willy nilly with no fact checking so as a rule of thump you don't use wikipedia as a primary source.
My favourite random pic from the wikipedia is this one.

Here is a map of marka drawn by al-idrisi in 1155 ad, who do you suppose these people descried by al-drisi are if not the ajuraan?I don't think so. The only dynasty present in southern Somalia before the 13th century is the Fakhr ad-Din
The ya'qubi sultans did indeed rule mogadishu but they eventually came under the geledi much like how the mudafar came under the ajuraan. There are many incidents attesting to the power of geledi in mogadishu for example when baraqash wanted to build a fort or a garissa in mogadishu the inhabitants refused that's why the omanis asked for permission from the geledi. the geledi collected taxes from barawa and mogadishu and they went to war with the bimaal because they refused to pay tax.Geledi only ruled barawa, hiraab is the one that ruled Mogadishu
Geledi didnt rule Mogadishu, Yusuf came to Mogadishu to support one of the successors in being the new imam that's it reallyThe yaqubi sultans did indeed rule mogadishu but they eventually came under the geledi. Hmm i don't know. I'll look into it again i might've overlooked something. I recall reading the geledi collecting taxes from mogadishu.Geledi didnt rule Mogadishu, Yusuf came to Mogadishu to support one of the successors in being the new imam that's it really
They are mentioned as a tribe, not a countryHere is a map of marka drawn by al-idrisi in 1155 ad, who do you suppose these people descried by al-drisi are if not the ajuraan?
Here is a description of marka by ibn sa'id in the 13th century who do you suppose these descried are if not the ajuraan.
All three cities of mogadishu marka and barawa have oral tradition of being ruled by the ajuraan at one point and they were the only power that has ruled over the three port cities and the interior historically speaking.
Correcting historical facts is not an inferiority complexajuran started in the 13s what u on and they did had their won currency with theur sultan on theit names, geledi literally ruled mogadishu and force the omani pay tribute and once wagedwar on zanzibar basically oman and destroyed the arabs, u hoyo mataalo and discrediting u people history go fix u inferiority complex
mogadishu had chief states but they had no real power sultan yusuf didGeledi didnt rule Mogadishu, Yusuf came to Mogadishu to support one of the successors in being the new imam that's it really
He still didnt rule Mogadishumogadishu had chief states but they had no real power sultan yusuf did
u make no sense tho, ha had the power to expel people from the city if they did not pay any tribute to himHe still didnt rule Mogadishu
Look oral tradition states that ajuraan from the hawiya clan were the rulers of southern somalia and historical source mention one power in these coasts "the hawiya". You said that the ajuraan rose up in the 16th century but how can that be when the yaqubi imams and the bimaal clan overthrow them between the 16th-17th century? You mean to tell me they were overthrown as soon as they were established? All oral tradition from the coast and the interior points to the pre 16th century rule of the ajuraan. They are mentioned as a tribe, not a country
The tribute thing is most likely fake till now no one has shown me a reliable source of itu make no sense tho, ha had the power to expel people from the city if they did not pay any tribute to him
