Educated Somalis came to the American west coast in the 80s fleeing the dictator these people are not as religious as Minnesota Somalis and there kids never went to dugsi

America had a quota on immigration from non European nations until 1965 and still maintains a 7% immigration cap

Wtf, that's my eedo! Recall she started ADESO. She's in contact with my mother and would frequently tell my hooyo to send me to her in Sanaag when she heard I was interested in making a difference in Somalia someday.

My paternal fam is Dishiishe along the paternal line but my father's hooyo was Warsangeli like her and awoowe's hooyo was also Warsangeli. My mother used to joke to her that I'm 2/3rds on the way to being her folk to which she'd joke back, "Yes, yes, absolutely. He's ours. Send him to us."

:pachah1:

Haven't gotten to meet her yet but hooyo always told me she was a very sophisticated and intelligent lady. Her projects definitely had me impressed:
