Lmao I take it that you assume I am underistimating the responsibilities, I know, I know. However, I would only go for a 2nd if I was in the position financially-wise, and if ti-kowbaad agreed.

I don't get people who want a 2nd wife than again maybe it's cause I would be happy growing old with one wife I feel like those who want 2nd wife never think it through

Like for an instance How much responsibility is it of the man to emotionally satisfy his first wife and his children? Can a man actually be able to maintain his first wife and children of the status they were used to?

Geeljire gets overly defensive if you mention somali niman and their short comings. And here he thinks it's OK to joke around about hooyoyin somali like his own mothers weight.

I don't get defensive, I am not your aabo and I just kindly let you guys know this.

It seems you got awful lot defensive about the weight gain comment.:ulachen001: :ulachen001:
Nothing wrong with it, I'm sure if you weigh 300lb your husband will still love you.

Now you're saying a similar thing to @Antisocial?

I think she was making the point that you were being harsh(although it was tongue in cheek) when this thread was fairly positive before you came along. I think you spend so much time on Twitter interacting with Somali female twitter BLM activists that you forget you are on Sspot, most female posters here don't hate Somalis or their Somali brothers and they don't have an inferiority complex. Maybe you need to try and remember that. For the most part Somali men or Somali culture isn't hated on here apart from the few trolls who should be ignored anyway.

I mean come on , is the weight issue really that sensitive. We don't get bend out of shape when you guys call us skinnies or lugo baasto, we just laugh it up

I don't see the issue, some gain weight soo what? That's an imperical reality, it's not an insult. If I offended some of you I apologize!

PS: I don't interact with BLM activist on twitter, I used to troll them but that was on the matter of culture & identity, not stupid gender wars. I interact with actual Somali females beyond the cyber world , I don't think you know that.

It might be sensitive issue for some people and women are more sensitive over weight issues than men because we tend to put on weight more easily.

I think @Antisocial was trying to get you to see things from a different perspective. She wasn't really getting defensive and it was a fair point she made. Your comment could come across inflammatory but I could see you were joking hence my light-hearted reply to you.

Perhaps you didn't mean it as an insult but I'm sure you can appreciate that it can come across as such? Especially since you don't have a favourable opinion of Somali women due to your 'trolling' activities onTwitter (daddy issues comment and other such comments)

I don't think you can discuss culture and identity without mentioning gender. Anyway, I only mentioned the twitter BLM comments 'cause you refer to it in your posts.

Ok, I won't mention anything regarding the matter of weight no more and I apologize to you and @Antisocial for coming across as inflammatory.

In my short stinch I usually just kept out of the loop when these 30 and 20 years olds on twitter went on genders wars and never got involved in that. I mostly just discussed gender roles and rights things of that nature, but hardly much at all. btw I do interact with actual Somali females beyond the cyber world , I'm not sure if you know that.

I don't take all of what I read or hear online seriously nor do I confuse it for reality.

Lol it's fine. I didn't see it as offensive. It's big of you to apologise though.

Lol@I do interact with actual Somali females. Sorry. I didn't mean for it to come across like that.

What's your opinion on gender roles? Gender is usually inter-linked with culture and identity. I wasn't implying you were involved in gender wars.

I'm glad you don't. None of us should.

I am more curious as to why you & others assume that I think Somali girls hate faraxs or me developing a hate for Somali women based of what I read on twitter. Not true at all. The only distasteful thing I got from that experience were that i witnessed both boys and girls dissing each other in order to appeal to ajanabis. Which I've never seen in real life and it was really embarrassing.

Concerning gender roles I think it's a natural thing that has roots in biology

Look i get equally pissed off when i see faraxs do that as I do when i see Xalimos do that as well. The ratio just happens to be come across as uneven because there are more girls in that line then boys. Perhaps that has to do with female psychology I dunno.

Based on your posts. Nothing more. You come across as wadani but I do think you tend to extrapolate excessively on certain issues.

I do agree with you. The ratio tends to be unequal on that front. I don't know if it is female psychology or if it's the environment/upbringing. It could be a multitude of reasons but I can't say which one contributes most.

Natural thing that has roots in biology? So women as homemakers and men as breadwinners/leaders?

Based on my posts? My rubber butt, I've several times on here where I've chewed out dudes for insulting dumarka soomaaliyeed & defended you guys equally. My posts do not give that impression at all.

Extrapolate on certain issues? Can you elaborate on that? I talk about & discuss diversified topics, mainly because I just happen to be a genuinely curious person. However I am consistent tho with what I say if that's what you mean.

Its not just that I am wadani, I just want somalis to love themselves and help eachother. I don't understand why many have a beef with that message.

It means that women and men have innate gender role preferences. Both Men and Women are biologically different. Gender roles are seen throughout nature and these roles are part of human behavior, they exist beyond culture and are hardwired into the genes. These sex traits compliment eachother.

What these SJWs on twitter was doing which I was opposed to is that they make it seem like women are oppressed by roles. When in reality men and women have always been a team. .A married couple with kids cant be a team when they are competing against eachother for the same postitions in society. They have convinced women that motherhood and marriage is evil as well. That the lie that men hate women.

These people want women to lose their womanhood at the expense of equating themselves to men. It destroys the fabric of most families. It's an alien ideology. Although supporting Somali women's right is commendable , supporting western inspired feminism is not. I had this stupid individualist rubbish that comes from them making it women vs men. In somali culture is how we put de-emphasis on individuality and the emphasis on community, The somali family unit has already taken a hit due to civil war and I do not want to see more broken homes being championed as a sign of progress.

Somali women need to loose weight and stop overfeeding their children. Point blank period.

It's not acceptable at all. There's no excuse.

I also find the pregnant middle age men disgusting as well.
