Its haram to work at a job that engages in usury. Your working hard for this life but sacrificing the next. I'd say people should be aware and even stay away from jobs that engage in haram and helps engage in the destruction of innocent people. But also at the end of day people choose what they want to do. And many people choose money over everything else. Personally for me I wouldn't have commented on what that dude was doing unless I was his sibling otherwise Idrc how any person lives there life.
Taxes is beyond us. After all we were born in this country not like I picked to be here. But choosing who we give our labour to and work for is something that we can pick.

That guy if he’s still working there is living good. Tech salaries don’t play. He’s probably making 200-250k+ MINIMUM 165k base salary with insane benefits and cushy work hours. I didn’t even take account the bonuses or equity and stock options. Dude was eating good.
Remembering this incident makes me cringe, somalis love dragging down their own people who can be potential networks in the community for other aspiring somalis trying to get into the field, we keep shooting ourselves in the foot while other ajnabis climb up the corporate ladder and uplift others in their community 
People can disagree with me but Somalis are the most religious muslim group in the west and it hasn’t benefitted us much tbh. I’m not saying take off your hijab or change your name to Mo to try and assimilate because people will still perceive you as a foreigner even if you do that lol.

The worst part is other muslims are quick to attack when they see a Somali doing something out of the norm for us like this guy but you’ll never see them do this to their own even though the DMV area is full of muslims who work as defensecontractors. This is also why they feel comfortable spreading that idea that the average Somali woman is immodest or a non hijabi when anyone who lives around Somalis know that’s a lie. They do this to cope with the fact that the average muslim from their ethnic group is non practicing/a non hijabi. If a Somali is irreligious or working for a morally unethical company then the ummah has collapsed in their eyes & they go on attack mode against us.
