I think the name Somalia might need a change honestly. It’s an Italian word for “Somaliland”, so why keep that.

I think it should be done when the country stabilises. Give ourselves a rebrand and start fresh.

It’s not like we’ve been called Somalia for centuries anyways, the name has only been around for a century.

Thats why SL has to change their name to Adal sultanate. Calling ourselves SL was the dumbest decision ever in my opinion.

The problem with a sultanate is who is going to be the sultan. That could open up a whole new can of worms. I think Adal Republic would be better because the system can stay the same and it would only be just a name change.
