The only way Somalia can get rid of Al Shabaab is by spending more than 1/3 of the budget on the military and get more than 100k soldiers but the problem is weapon ban on Somalia sometimes it feels like UN doesn’t want Somalia to be stable

Saaxib wether the president hails from darood, hawyie or isaaq he still represents all somalis within somalia and we need to stop this qabil mentality and focus to rebuild somalia government that is strong and independent from the likes of UAE, Ethiopia and Kenya influence because we r the somalis we are better than them

Kenya gets alot of Money on behalf of Somalia, The Dadaab Refugee Camp that they are hosting has more than 1 million Somalis, the amount of money they receive for running that Refugee camp is in the Hundreds of Millions if not Billions. They also have 100's of Ngo's based in Kenya that costs millions that focus on the affairs of Somalia.

Djibouti hosts Multiple Military bases and makes money from sending stuff to landlocked Ethiopia.

Somalia needs to manufacture good, we have all the raw materials, we just need investment into Factories that can produce goods and we can Sell them to our Neighbors and else where.

Damn Ethiopia is broke. 15 billion shared between 100 million is not much better than 1bn shared between 15 million. Somalia’s budget is so small I agree but not a surprise given the FGS doesn’t effectively tax anyone outside of Xamar.

Damn Ethiopia is broke. 15 billion shared between 100 million is not much better than 1bn shared between 15 million. Somalia’s budget is so small I agree but not a surprise given the FGS doesn’t effectively tax anyone outside of Xamar.

Everyone is Greedy, even the IFM and World Bank will give you crippling debts, At least China's debt comes with building Infrastructure, you just have to PAY back on time then the Chinese cant take advantage of state property like they did with Sri Lanka.

You can See how Iran UNDER one of the worst SANCTIONS known in HISTORY are surviving because of Russia, China, and India. We need to do the Same, 30 years is a lesson learned. Major corruption will come with this as China notoriously bribes officials and has little transparency in contracts they sign with foreign states. Just look at our fishing deal for $1 million. And unlike the US, China has little foreign military presence. China will not be supporting SNA like the way the US does.

We also have no lobby in China. People underestimate the diaspora we have in America. If American foreign policy in Somalia causes conflict it tends to reach officials and pressure can result in different policy. Biden’s banning of non-self defence drone strikes is partly because of ilhan Omar raising civilian casualties (I don’t support this but is a good example)
