Major corruption will come with this as China notoriously bribes officials and has little transparency in contracts they sign with foreign states. Just look at our fishing deal for $1 million. And unlike the US, China has little foreign military presence. China will not be supporting SNA like the way the US does.

If American foreign policy in Somalia causes conflict it tends to reach officials and pressure can result in different policy. Kenya's GDP economy is almost 110 billion. Eth Gdp is 111 billion, while somalia's gdp is almost 8 billion. Their budjets maybe low, but their economies are big

China is a disease. Which is why I’ve always supported an American satellite state known as Somalia. We are free to make deals with Turkey and other NATO/Western allies of the US while staying in their sphere.

What

Ethiopia has a population of 100 million, Somalia isnt more than 20 million. Our Budget could be Larger but we have to Pay back Loans and Clear Debts during the Syad Barre Era. We also have a incurring Cost of all the NGO's and African Union/African Troops that we have to someday Pay back.

Kenya gets alot of Money on behalf of Somalia, The Dadaab Refugee Camp that they are hosting has more than 1 million Somalis, the amount of money they receive for running that Refugee camp is in the Hundreds of Millions if not Billions. They also have 100's of Ngo's based in Kenya that costs millions that focus on the affairs of Somalia.

Djibouti hosts Multiple Military bases and makes money from sending stuff to landlocked Ethiopia.

Somalia needs to manufacture good, we have all the raw materials, we just need investment into Factories that can produce goods and we can Sell them to our Neighbors and else where.

And what have these ngos done for the last 10 years nothing they are grifting so they can keep getting paid is all cash cow projects.

I would hope so but hunger will make you do anything to feed your family even swallow pride . Need string institutions and government to crack down on people like Chinese guy. Somalia doesn’t have that and I’m sure worse things are happening in ports and military bases foreigners run today
