Afmadow to Dhobley and Kismayo to CeelWaaq.:rejoice:

Too bad almost none of this will happen this decade.

Why not? If Al shabaab are defeated I don’t see no reason not to. Safety is the main obstacle to these projects tbh. Hopefully they do
This many large scale projects in the worlds most corrupt country where aid is routinely being unfulfilled by donors.

Furthermore on the AS front im not convinced that this government can make significant steps forward yet. The efforts against their Benadir tax ring is what we will measure not the battles in Middle Shabelle.

Speaking about their fight against AS in Banadir, I guess what’s happening later on today in Mogadishu will surprise you

Like you said @Rationale Ciise and Samaroon would thrive under 1 nation, especially with that major corridor link from Jigjiga-Borama-Djibouti, but we'll settle for economic integration. We'll be making use of Djibouti port instead of Berbera port. So will Reer Sitti (+Dire Dawa) and Upper Faafan, who will use the road that goes through Borama-Dharwaanaje-Jigjiga.

It will rival the Berbera corridor monopoly, but nevertheless, it will be healthy competition

Djibouti, Sitti, Upper Faafan & Awdal economic integration is a key factor in the future of the HOA. Plus Reer Babile, Reer Jinacsani etc

The 3 trade hubs of gedo got the roads. Ceelwaaq/ beledxaawo and dolow.

Luuq also got the road. But Baardheere is missing. Mx need to construct a road that connects Baardheere to the kismaayo road and mogadishu road. This will overnight make Baardheere a wealthy city.

What’s the largest town in Gedo? MX need to take advantage of being a border town of both Kenya and Ethiopia as well as being relatively close to Xamar and kismaayo. Lots of money to be made

Beledxaawo area has the most people. Beledxaawo itself is probably around 120 to 150k but it has a lot of decent sized towns scattered everywhere and close to baladxaawo. Total the area has close to 350k people.

Baladxaawo was burned down the the ground 3 times since 1991 due to internal conflicts.

Baardheere city has the most population if we are talking about just the city. However in the next 10 years baladxaawo will be bigger then Baardheere and it might even get bigger then kismaayo. A lot of villagers are moving to the town.

HSM removed Tuurdibi -Galdogob-Garacad road from funding :francis:

it was removed. It’s bosaso to garowe to Galkacyo and then galdogob which is right next to galkacyo. No Garcad to Galdogob on list or map. Strange since HSM was there for stone placing October last year . Wondering if it’s being funded otherways or was canceled due to beef over signing over ports and airports
