Somaliland ictiraaf will be' hard to achieve without a deal with Somalia. If you guys want full recognition you need to negotiate with Somalia. The two governments need to talk about how to separate, if Somalia accepts your independence you will become a fully recognized country within months but if it doesn't you will stay without ictiraaf for another 30 years and this won't be good for your people.
At this point reunification is unlikely, but still an option. If somalia reunites somaliland would definitely be the most influential part of the country and would be able to use the resources of a much bigger territory. I know you don't care about this but it's definitely something that Bixi will take in consideration

I'm generally anti federalist but for the sake of unity I would accept a compromise. I would be ok with it but foreign policy and other issues should be planned by the central government. Somalilander politicians would also be part of the central government, maybe even presidents or prime ministers in the future.Even if somaliland joins back it will never be like before, Somalia has no political power to keep you down like we used to during the Siad era.
I'm not anti Siad but for the sake of reconciliation I think Somalia should officially apologise to S/land and all somalis who have been wronged by the government so that we can move forward

This came after Somalia accepted two conditions in which Somaliland requested before any dialogue:

1. We were two separate countries before the unity in 1960.

2. Somalia and Somaliland will talk as a two equal states.
