The Somali people brought this civil war upon themselves. I'm not at all optimistic as we can see what direction Somalia is headed in - the fragmentation of the once but no longer sovereign state into mini states drawn on (surprise, surprise) qabiil lines. Somalia isn't ready for it's resources, it's much better for its treasures to stay under the ground for now.
