Somalia's Toxic Problem

Since the government collapsed in 1991, the general lawlessness of the nation has led to our waters and coastlines to be completely unprotected. This has led to years of toxic waste dumping by various companies, mafia's etc. This has not only led to the deaths of so many species of fish, but has led to our people suffering from the consequences. People who's lives are revolved around the coast, are now getting debilitating diseases and cancer due to how close they are to the sea.

Now, the government must address this problem and I have thought of a few solutions:

  • Funding and development for a new Somali navy. We must protect our waters so that toxic dumping can cease.
  • We need to get rid of toxic waste within our waters. I personally don't know how this can be possible, any toxicologists or environmentalists here who know how to accomplish this task?
  • Suing those companies who have destroyed the livelihood of so many of our people. They have made us suffer and so should be made to pay for it.

Any other ideas, fellow forumers?Let's start a fruitful and worthwhile discussion.

Fucking bullshit saxib. They Call bantus who protect their waters heroes. While they call us pirates for simply fighting foreign illegal fishing and dumping of nuclear waste. Dont be a fool, the west dont give a toss about u. They would rather see bantus do good than u.

Whatever you say

Have you got any solutions to Somalia's Toxic Problem?

The Gobol that gets it right will set the policy to follow.

Exactearth.com allows any client to access thier satellites to pin point all ships including the ones who turn off thier radar.

There’s startups working on solar powers bouys that can launch drones into the air that can provide video surveillance.

Toxic keeping coming up and there’s no other evidence other then the vessels that ran a shore during the tsunami.

 Focus on Benadirs waters

Your land doesn’t have 1,400km of ocean.

You have tasks to complete that Puntland completed 10 years ago.

Take your steps and don’t look to Xamaar.
