if they dont recognize somaliland and the naval base is prevented (its very clear that hsm is against this) and its just a port, then whats the point why not just use the dp world one in berbera

Abiy wasn’t present, IOG brought it up in his place. Bihi met Abiy personally which HSM didn’t like.

These government wasir explain it well but they deny all involvement on the matter. They knew Bihi was going to Ethiopia, that’s as far as they go. Certain other news outlets that I can’t find at this time say HSM knew, and so does Ethiopia, whose so confident they’re willing to take it to court with a Somali judge as president in the ICJ.

This is troubling with all due respect. Their whole team is on this, so it deserves some coverage, especially due to how confident they seem.

Even if it's true, too little too late. They had 12 years to implement prior agreements which includes the airspace, the same president was leading these talks and refused to transfer it, why bother now when Somaliland is the closest it's ever been to recognition?????



Probably a stalling tactic by HSM but it's not gonna work.
