Dr. Bayle has done a complete 360. He's been a staunch supporter of Waddani since he defected, but I agree. Prof Samatar, on the other hand, has advocated for foreign policy change in Somaliland since 2022 and has been in favour of Somaliland getting recognition, often citing the legal and historical basis for it. Honestly, I think Prof. Samatar would be the best rn but we are stuck with this danyeer instead.
