I was wondering why people don't build their homes with garages the other day.

I was wondering why people don't build their homes with garages the other day.

The garage would only end up being used as storage. At most they will have a car port (cover) to protect from the weather. The space the car occupies can be used for multiple purposes while the car is out (parties, kids playing area, bbq).
