Somaliland students graduate from top global universities

Abaarso is tough they have a lower acceptance rate than the vast majority of western universities. It will be hard for any other school in Somaliland to compete alx for this school were they also built by foreigners or was this one local?

Do you think there is a curriculum to abaarso that is different? Also how hard is it for a school to get accredited I am actually involved in the development of schools in many different Somali areas.

They don't discriminate....

Imagine if this was govt run, the only students would be those with connections.

This and Sheikh School strives to take in the poorest and disenfranchised.

I just saw the stupidity in my question I didn’t realize it was the same secondary school in Sheikh sometimes I think i am becoming senile :farmajoyaab:

anybody who believes there is some difference between the IQ of clans does not really understand IQ. I think what sets this school apart from the rest is their quality curriculum, quality staff, decent facility, western Accreditation, zero tolerance for corruption, and their extremely low acceptance rate.

People will try and discredit it for FKD but its better to improve your own schools then hate. I think they can even do better than abaarso if they tweak the american curriculum and make it more on par with Singapores but then accreditation will be a problem :jcoleno:

How did they travel with a Somaliland passport when this "country" does not Exist. Second how can a school from a third world dustbin have western accredited diplomas? Surely there must be a background check on these people. Does not make sense. Something does not add up. More than likely they got in with affirmative action and not merit by studying weak courses like social science.

All Abaarso Tech students use Somaliland's passport.

You can listen to one of their students tell the story of how she used her Somaliland passport on a business trip to Tajikistan

So far Abaarso sent 150 Somalilander students to prestigious universities overseas and they won scholarships worth more than 30 million US dollars including semester fees, accomodation, transport and tickets.

Passports from many "breakaway" states, including Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Northern Cyprus, Somaliland, South Ossetia, and Transnistria, are unable to be used to travel to many states. In many of these cases, residents of these territories will also have the nationality of the "protecting" country (e.g. Turkey in the case of Northern Cyprus, Armenia in the case of Nagorno-Karabakh, Russia in the case of Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Transnistria) in which case they can travel on that country's passport and not their own breakaway passport as its unrecognised.

Spoken like a jealous bum who went to a community college despite growing up in the west

Abaarso's Covid-19 online learning program is great!

They use Google Classrooms to deliver lessen.

Their Somali classes are very thorough:

Their writing classes uses Naruto as an example to explain storytelling :drakelaugh:

They have classes on Somali poetry for 8th grade students!!

Even their math classes are done in a fun way to encourage students

What a great school! :whew::friendhug::lawd:

President Biixi in his speech said they will expand and open branches in other Somaliland regions, this is going to be amazing.

How many faculties does Abaarso tech have ?
Its a high school so does not have faculties like a university.
They recently launched Abaarso Tech University and have campuses in Hargeisa(main), Borama and Burco with plans to expand to Lascanood.
Abaarso also partnered with a new univeristy called Barwaaqo which focuses mainly on educating women and young girls.

Yes my cousin is in abaarso. Abaarso is by far the best thing that has ever happened to somaliland the last 30 years.Anyone can make it, just pass the entrance exam. Study hard and you can make it to Yale/Harvard etc. Are you kidding me? This is the best thing ever wallaahi. Almost too good to be true.Btw my cousin was poor reer baadiye. These abaarso students are motivated as hell, straight hustlers.
