We do not want your aid, it will ruin our chance for indebendency!
Also @Human how are you calling somaliland a federal state? inaa lillaahi wa inaa ilaayhi rajicuuun
We do not care for your puny politics, the "federal gov" has no authority in Somaliland.
Under your precious "international law" Somaliland is an autonomous state, not another maamul goboleed
From Saylac to Laascaanood is 100% Somaliland
Also @nadia and @xisaabiye on the issue of the name of Somaliland, it comes from the term Somali lands. They used this term because Somalis were never united and never had a central political entity. Yes we were a nation in a sense we spoke the same language all be it similar culture and customs, but we had our different kingdoms, sultanates, tribes and so on.
The sahil was also used by the arabs, because our Somaliland civilization was centered on the Gulf of Aden coast.
@Human the reason why Djibouti never carried the term of Somaliland is because of the sizable Afar community, the French changed the name in the late 60s to the territory of Afars and Issas, They later took the name of Jabuuti because jabuuti was the largest settlement at the time and because it is a small country with most of the people living in the city of jabuuti.
You can carry on saying "somaliland is a part of somalia" on paper yes, lakiin it is a very different situation on the ground. You are more than welcome to come to the de facto Republic of Somaliland.
Also a little history lesson for you, the first post-colonial somali country was called the State of Somaliland.
