Siilanyo increased the wages of the army and police

HARGEISA (SomalilandPress)—Somaliland’s new government is considering on giving a vast pay increases on all civil servants according to the BBC Somali service’s this evening program. An increase of 100% pay raises for all armed forces personnel and 75% increase for all other civil servants is expected for the government to announce. Currently there is no confirmation of this pay raise from the office of the presidency.

These raises have been expected from the current government, but not this significant increase in short period of time. It was during the well campaigned election of 2010 that President Ahmed Siilaanyo’s Kulmiye party promised to increase the wages for all civil servants if they were to be elected in to office. This increase of pay for the armed forces and civil servants would be the highest increase in the last 15 years.

For years there have been calls for the former government to increase civil servants salaries after the economic downturn of 2007 and the rising food and fuel prices but there was no effect to it. This current compensation increase for the country’s civil servants could not have come at a better time due the recent high prices on all goods sold in the country.

Why do you cry derail every time your lies are exposed?

You said Somaliland soliders are starving and selling their weapons due to kulmiye but I showed you that is a lie and their salaries were increased by kulmiye

Well it is a lie. Since they are earning $150 now and that article says it was increased by "100% " 6 years ago then how come they
are still earning 150 USD? unless they were earning peanuts to begin with (50 USD).

You are the one who said you posted the other article which I checked in page 1. It says the "salary was increased by 100%". Well
that is false otherwise the soldiers wouldn't be still stuck at 150 USD.
