Las Anod and Taleex usually register in every election but many don't vote. Xudun district (SY)
and parts of Caynaba district is WADANI base. I wouldn't lose sleep over Sool.

Sool is obviously a Kulmiye stronghold. The two largest districts Laascanood and Caynaba are a shoe-in for Kulmiye. There is very little challenge Wadani could pose in Sool.

Sanaag wont be that different as Kulmiye has the support of the majority of Ceelafweyn, Garadag and Badhan. The only district in Sanaag that will vote Wadani is Ceerigaabo, and a third to half of Ceerigaabo will vote for Kulmiye.

If wishes were horses beggars would ride. Counting on Dhulo votes in Sool shows how desperate Kulmiye are. Ceerigaabo
will turn a large WADANI majority (more than Ceel Afweyn and Garadag combined) furthermore Ceel Afweyn is a shared
district, so my folks will return decent numbers there as well. Las Anod and Taleex
districts won't vote and ignore it altogether like they did in 2003 and 2010.

Kulmiye has never got majority in Sanaag. Both in 2003 and 2010 , UDUB + UCID votes in Sanaag (which is basically
eastern H-Y) outnumbered them. Since this time Muj Cirro is running all UCID votes in the region will go to WADANI.
In 2010 many eastern H-Y in the area voted for Kulmiye but it still couldn't beat the margin of UDUB & UCID. This
time all votes will go to WADANI, not a single vote will be spared.


2003 - UDUB + UCID percentage of votes in Sanaag = 51.97%

2010- UDUB + UCID percentage of votes in Sanaag = 51.07%

Its desperate to add Udub + Ucid for HY just to beat Kulmiye, Ucid was voted for by all subclans. HY never voted for Kulmiye that year as they had Udub. If we keep it between Kulmiye (HJ) vs Udub (HY) the 2010 results are very simple to read:

Udub(HY) 48%
Kulmiye (HJ) 40%​

Very small win for Udub in Ceerigaabo.

- Ceelafwweyn:
Kulmiye (HJ) 66%
Udub (HY) 19%​

Clear majority win for Kulmiye.

Kulmiye (HJ) 81%
Udub (HY) 14%​

Clear majority win for Kulmiye.

If we look at the more recent 2012 results we find:

Ceerigaabo:

- HY (Waddani + Umadda) = 32747
- HJ (Kulmiye + Rays) = 20980​

Ceelafweyn:

- HJ (Kulmiye + Rays) = 19901
- HY (Waddani + Umadda)= 7063​

Garadag:

- HJ (Kulmiye + Rays) = 13414
- HY (Waddani + Umadda)= 2831​

Total for HJ in Sanaag in 2012 = 54295
Total for HY in Sanaag in 2012=42641

Many people wrongly assume HY is majority in Sanaag region because they are the majority in the capital city. HJ is the majority subclan in Sanaag region. They share Ceerigaabo district with HY (with HY being majority there) and they dominate Ceelafweyn completely including Garadag.

There are two large subclans in Sanaag, laba Muuse, Muse Abokor and Muse Ismaaciil. Muse Abokor is much larger than Muse Ismaciil.

Again HY votes were split into UDUB and UCID, it still shows the majority are eastern HY.
HJ has less numbers and MPs than HY in Sanaag as seen in 2005 parliamentary election
