Actually Ethiopia claims its between 11 -13 million

its why they got more senators and some extra federal MPs in 2016

and its why cabdi iley created 100 extra Mps and 2 extra gobals, for DDS and 42 new counties or degmo , sadly Ogaden only got 1 of the new gobals, 90 of the new Mps and only 39 out of the new 42 counties or demgo only, it would have been nice if we got 100% of everything since land is called Ogadeniya and only Ogadens dies for it

I think it's well over 16 million, that's just my estimate. I do not know for sure, Not only Ethiopia but Kenya as well will be in for a shock in the next 20-30 years.

For now, 35-40 million for all ethnic Somalis across somaliweyn and the diaspora but we will grow to over 100+ million in the next 50 years. Reminder that ethnic Somalis will be 50% of Kenyas population alone, and Somalis in the Ogaden have the highest fertility rates in all of Ethiopia. We will be a force to be reckoned with if we get our shit together. Long term we are the biggest threat to Kenya and Ethiopia that's why they've been trying so hard to fragmentate our people. I believe we will win in the end though.

We might see a Somali president in Kenya with a generation if the numbers hold up anybody who’s been to Kenya knows Somalis are a huge part of the economy the landscape of east Africa will be drastically different by 2050 the geopolitics in east Africa might be in our favour by then due to countries not wanting to allienate their large Somali populations

Nigga your too short sighted @Abu Ash’ari has a good point. The Ogaden region will always be Somali majority. Having more of a political sway and influence of the Ethiopian region and more Muslims would be better for the Ogaden region in the long term

Another factor is religion, Ethiopia's future in it's current form is as an Oromo, Muslim majority nation. I genuinely don't see how a Tigray or an Orthodox Amhara from Bahir Dar can stomach being a shrinking Ethnic group being ruled by an Muslim Oromo like Jawar for decades if not centuries to come.

Even the Gurage who typically cared the least about ethnicity suddenly are being gung-ho about having their own region, there is a frantic race happening in Ethiopia right now for legal recognition and border consolidation before the upcoming civil strife, state collapse and eventual balkanization.

The country is headed towards balkanisation, its existence is held up by the west. I seen a video were an amhara man wished tigrayans to be killed and was happy that the tigrayans in his village were cleansed. The ethnic and religious conflict in this country will explode one way or the another.
