My friend was talking about how christians would come to us for cinnamon and other things. They called us "The gods of the east" and more. Idk if its 100% true but if it is, it looks like we have rich history

we even tricked the romans into thinking you could only get cinnamon from east Africa

It’s talk about our area not necessarily Somali ppl, but we live there and originate there, hebesha are always trying to include our area and the history of that area into their mythology stories saying that’s their place and that history of that area belongs to them and always discredit the history of Somalis, they are saying Ahmed gurey is Ethiopian

We aint referenced in any bible, Quran or Hadith... Ethiopia/Eritea/Sudan/Egypt are the only african countries mentioned. I guess we just werent important or even existed back than, quite sad if you ask me.

We are literally next door to Ethiopia and Eritrea and border Yemen by sea so yes it does bother me to some extent how we aint even mentioned once in any religious books.

Maybe but than again we were not part of Abysinnia, Ethiopia did not have Ogaden before the illegal annex we were part of the Ajuraan empire, they could have clearly mentioned that than Abyssinia if they were to reference us.
