Somalis in Biblical history?

What is there to conquer? Why would any empire want control of empty deserts inhabited by warlike nomads?

If you knew any history, you would know that controlling the Silk Road was very important to many empires including the Portuguese who tried to redirect the Silk Road away from Muslim empires

Even in early Islamic history, Abyssinia was way more important and more often mentioned than Somalia. :silanyolaugh:

Habeshas used to be important in ancient history.

It could be that they just considered us and Habeshas one and the same. Arabs/Jews aren’t really going to care about the difference between the prevailing power in the region who Somalis have often had to pay tribute to in the past and a tribe living under their yoke

Explain the Axumite burials in Somaliland it’s obvious Axum had some contact with Somalis. No doubt more evidence will be discovered in the rest of Somalia
Shows that they had a cultural influence in Somaliland. They are our neighbours so not surprising.

Somalia is 637,657 km², most of which is semi-arid desert and has no benefit to any kingdom. Yes there was some trade going on at Somali ports, but they were too far away and any benefit that may be had by possessing these ports, would be outweighed by the logistical nightmare of holding it.

You do know that the Abyssinian empire lost their power when they couldn’t control the Somali peninsula, a coastline that connects with the India ocean and the Chinese Silk Road, whole economies were build on the Silk Road like Vienna

They’ve never controlled the Somali peninsula.

When it comes to Sub-Saharan Africa, the bible mainly only talks about North Sudan and perhaps Eritrea/Northern Ethiopia. Somalia is definitely not mentioned.
Ethiopia in the Bible refers to Sudan I think, the modern day Ethiopians appropriated that name but have nothing to do with the historical Ethiopia. When one actually digs deep into Ethiopian history and scrutinizes their claims, you will find a lot of partial truths or complete fabrications in their narrative.
Yup thats why i dont bother insulting Ethiopia because of their very rich history and culture unless ofcourse what is happining to Somali Galbeed which even than we shouldnt take it out on the country.
Don’t know whether you’re trolling or being serious but Ethiopian history isn’t that impressive apart from Axum (Which includes Eritrea and Djbouti and spoke a different Semitic language and ethnically have nothing to do with Amhara or Tigray). Most of Ethiopian history consists of a shithole kingdom in the highlands isolated from most of the world and only had the opportunity to expand by kissing European boots, which is a shameful history indeed.

Cope.

Who cares if Somalia isn’t mentioned in religious books? Most of us aren’t trying to seek validation, we are proud regardless.

We are a peaceful people to outsiders. We are only interested in trading with foreigners nothing else. Which makes us irrelevant in major battles and other things mentioned in the hoky scriptures. If trade was a big part of the religion us somalis would have probably been mentioned. Atlas it is not about trade, so yeah we are just the protectors of ssa from asians basically as an extra job. This alone is good enough.

Don't ya'll notice that when African history is the topic the africans never include somais. If you talk about African colonialism, you can't forget to mention the longest and strongest anti colonial resistance movement.

Most African history is ignored even when spoken of the only ones brought up are Mali, Ghana, Nubia and Axsum.

Some know about the Swahili and Adjuran Sultanate and Great Zimbabwea but that’s about it. Cadaan and Indhoyar will do whatever it takes to downplay anything blacks do

Somalia was the #1 trading center due to its location, it made it easy for everyone to export and import items from Somalia.

you're being overly pessimistic, all of that is the result of a government decimating civil war and wont last forever. Plus ethiopia has gone through multiple huge famines and are going through an ethnic cleansing as we speak. You shouldn't let current issues define your entire identity.
China went through what they call themselves “the century of humiliation” look at them now

tigray was the ruling tribe of axum

Wallahi all those coons downing Somali ppl and glorifying these hebesha mongrels remember this we are the one that ended their fledgling power that they had in the horn and made them landlocked and controlled the Silk Road,
Axum After a second golden age in the early 6th century the empire began to decline in the mid 6th century, eventually ceasing its production of coins in the early 7th century. Around this same time, the Aksumite population was forced to go farther inland to the highlands for protection, abandoning Aksum as the capital

We made these niggas go further inland, if we Somali ppl can reduce this supposed ancient super power to only control couple of mountains. Our ancient ppl were something and don’t insult them
they moved further inland because of infighting from other ethnic grous in modern day eritrea. Somalia wasnt under any nation/empire at the time
