Yeah true it depends on who raises the kids, I had a close friend when I was younger who was half Italian, his dad was Somali but he looked very Somali, like he had the standard phenotype but was just light skinned, he was also in tune with his culture and could speak Somali. His parents were separated but in pretty sure they alternated between custody. Also it’s hard to be nationalist as a mixed Somali when your own people reject your identity and despise your existence.

There was a thread posted on here about oromo immigrants and a half Somali/half oromo girl on twitter was calling us racist and xenophobic and questioning if we’re genuinely religious because Somalis back home were against oromo migration. She had 0 tweets about the atrocities oromos had committed against Somalis but had lots of time to tweet about how we’re evil because the government was deporting oromos.
