Many many Somalis from all regions don't understand the danger that Ethiopia poses to us as an ethnic group. Ethiopia was, is and will always be our enemy.

I have no interest in going to war with Ethiopia while we lack a competent SNA. However, I have no doubt that we will have to fight them sometime this century. We need Galbeed to become a functional state. Somalia's heartland is in another country! It would be comical if it were not deadly serious. Untenable situation in the long run.

You cant have a competent fractured SNA. You also have the problem that a unified competent SNA is trouble in a clan society.

For a variety of reasons I have more faith in SR pulling off a Lithuania/Slovenia or maybe even Bosnia/S.Sudan this century then Somalia pulling off an Azerbaijan.

If Somalia was not a failed state then eastern Oromos would be pro-Somali like they were during the time of siad barre, when they had the somali abo movement. Imagine if we had our own television, media, entertainment that was dominant in east africa they would be integrated into somaliweyn cultural sphere but we only have ourselves to blame.

The only group of Oromo that is very resistant to Somali influence are the Borana of Ethiopia who have adopted Pentay instead of Islam. This is mostly due to them bordering three strong Somali clans, namely the Marehan, Garre and Degoodiye, who have waged war against them for over a century.

It depends on the offshore oil money and how we develop Somalia if we can take out the oil we wouldn’t have such competition between clans over finite resources like grazing land we can use it to get us above 10-15k gdp per capita than we can pull off a Azerbaijan.
