I'm happy that my ethnicity is somali. I used to not if I'm honest but Alhamdullilah I actually am now but we do need a name change to differentiate from Somalia since we are breaking away from them. We should have a name unique to us. And ajanabis arent going to hate on a country that is not in turmoil. Somalia sadly is and has high immigration and others pretending to be from there hence the hate.

Changing the name is a pointless endeavour that doesn’t solve the root issue.
It will 100 percent change everything. I don't want Somaliland gaining independence and still have that name and anytime success comes our way it's stolen from other Somalis. No is no a name change is IMPORTANT and Inshallah it will happen. It makes no sense keeping a name we are trying to break from.
